Who am I?
Hi! My name is Hera Lu-Yang, and I am a current Junior in high school. I’ve always been interested in environmental science, as well as environmental protections, since I was a little kid. I’ve created this website as a way for me to express my interest in the topic, while also helping spread public awareness about the possible chemicals that you may not know you are interacting with every day. I hope by clicking on this website, you are able to learn something new and protect yourself and your loved ones!
My experience with chemistry
I’ve always known that I loved science, as it’s been my favorite subject for as long as I can remember. However, it wasn’t till middle school that I learned about chemistry, and ever since then, I’ve loved it. Even after taking all the chemistry classes that my school has offered, I keep trying to integrate it in my life outside of class. I’ve done science olympiad for eight, and I’ve done chemistry events for six. Additionally, I main chemistry in quizbowl, and I am currently studying for the upcoming chemistry olympiad.
